as reports come in I realise how lucky  I was never to have really lost power! tons of my friends are only now getting theirs back.

while I'm probably better set than most of the seattle population in power outages (I have a gas stove, and I'm not afraid to use it ;)...plus all my camping gear I'd be ok...heck, with the camping water heater I'd even be able to take a shower....) I am very very grateful that I didnt need it.

so, much thanks and gratitude to the powers that be from me!

I'm also grateful that I hear my friends power is coming on at long last.... I hope ya'll get hooked up soon if you arent already!

its funny how we get so attatched to things like power and cable and internet. even cell phones wont work if you dont have the juice to recharge them!

*goes off to find the hand crank cell phone charger mom gave her after Katrina and put it in a place where she can find it again...*

nothing says christmas like sitting on the couch after wrapping a buttload of prezzie to ship, listening to a charlie browns christmas album...

vince, you rock. just sayin'. Go listen to those tracks and try not to dance like snoopy. I dare ya!

am feeling rather Martha Stewarty as I load the box of presents to ship south...all of them I made meself, and artfully wrapped. helps make up for the raging headache (too much cheese and chocolate last night...ah, the price of overindulgance! but totally worth it :)). the back bedroom looks like a tornado hit it, but oh well :). 

got a suprise visit from miss Marion which was a real treat :). her and hubby and baby all look well! I think hubby was a bit nonplussed when I wasnt so keen on holding the little muffin... hee. poor guy. I dont think he's ever met someone female who isnt sure which end goes up  on those things. s'ok, I got ot make goofy faces while mom held little Henry, so its all good. 

now I need to make a pot of soup....mmm...black bean and sweet potato soup.... :)

yep. sucks bein' me. even my lemon tree is in full bloom, so my living room smells like citrus blossoms :). How do I rate??
