I love the day after thanksgiving :)

 

dinner last night went well! yay!

after dinner, folks started dropping by bringing leftover desserts which was great :). we ended up hanging out until midnight! I ate just enough (maybe a bit too much sugar if you listen to my cranky stomach, but it can just shut up as far as I care... ;))

mom had brought all the familial knitting needles (hers, grammas, great aunt dottie) and I got to sort through them and pick out a big bundle of ones that I might use. I nabbed tons of old bakelite? DPNs in various sizes as well as a pretty much complete set of SPN up to 15s...a couple circular needles, including one old one that is twisted metal :). how cool is that? the points on the plastic ones are warped and bent from being used for over 50 years :). so much history! :)

now today is the test pack for estrella...need to get going on having stuff ready so that when people show up we can just do it. oof. its like the first pacik of the season, which is always painful....

and then christmas cards, putting up the lights, and maybe some knitting to venture brothers dvds ;). woot! did I mention how much I love the day after thanksgiving?
